    The lights at dawn gleam in the city in the early morning mist. This was the mood Canali's design team wanted to convey with the fall collection.
    To wit, the blue, burgundy and green color palette was in chiaroscuro, never vivid, but almost pixellated on sophisticated mélange textures with micro-motifs such as chevron and pied-de-poule. The exclusive fabrics were as soft and light as can be, blending cashmere with chinchilla or mink.     John Vizzone said that, for fall, he sexed-up the old school British men's wear tradition.
    Delivering a collection fitting a variety of occasions, from day and business to evening, he played with textures to give a tactile feel to impeccable three-piece suits; maxi plaid, two-piece styles, and blazers worked in a macro houndstooth pattern and embellished with leather inserts.
    The lineup also included checked fluid coats and short jackets, which were layered over cozy knits for a sense of relaxed elegance.

    The designer breezed into fall with a collection inspired by his beloved Tuscan countryside, the chaos of nature and the shadows made by the sunshine slicing through trees.
    The result was a languid and romantic collection in earth tones like rust, olive, burgundy and gray, and loads of surface texture in the long and loose puckered shirts, some with contrast patch pockets, a gray velvet topcoat and fuzzy bear hug of a sweater in Delft blue - which is fast becoming the color of the season - and tree bark brown.
